About me

Agnès JAMET

Certified Practitioner in Massages of the World

Engineer in Biomedical Engineering

I have always been fascinated by the human: his anatomy, his physiology, his well-being and his correlation with nature. Since my childhood I have been amazed by the gentle methods of health. I grew up with a bioenergy therapist - a friend who is very close to my parents. He cared for people with the energy of his hands - a gift handed down from father to son for several generations. He gave me a lot of natural recipes and good advice.

Since my childhood, I have practiced daily massages on myself. I started my first massages with foot reflexology at the age of 10 years old. Then when I was 16 years old I learned my first back massage.

I did eight years of music conservatory where I learned to play piano. It greatly influences my sense of touch.

I am graduated of Warsaw University of Technology in Poland in biomedical engineering (field of technology and health). I learned anatomy, physiology, mechanics, electronics, biophysics, biochemistry, etc., all the materials needed to design human prostheses and construct or invent diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. My desire was to work for medicine and to improve the situation of those who cannot benefit from good health.

I worked 12 years in the field of clinical studies which aimed at the placing on the market of new drugs. I first worked as a project coordinator, then project manager, then business manager. I was in constant contact with doctors, patients and officials of the pharmaceutical industry. I was happy to participate in the progress of medicine and to work with people who were fighting different diseases.

Why did I choose massages and health advice?

All this has allowed me to analyze and understand many health factors. I concluded that to be fit, except in emergencies, you have to look for solutions in nature. One of the secrets of nature is the touch and therefore the massages.

Massage and touch are the most natural things: you practice them yourself by reflex for example after a stroke or if we have pain. Massage influences the blood, lymphatic and nervous system. It helps the natural elimination of toxins accumulated in the body. It can calm or tone the whole body. It can de-stress and relax the mind. It can soothe and remove pain due to muscle tension. This tension may be due to muscular effort, stress, fatigue, etc. Tense muscles compress blood vessels, which decrease blood flow, oxygen flow and intake of nutritional elements as well as removal of toxins. Tense muscles can also compress nerves, which can cause nervous ailments. The lasting compression of the muscles can cause different pathologies. A specific massage can then remove the muscle knots.

In 2010, I deepened and broadened my knowledge of massages by attending two courses: one at the Cassiopée Formation Institute in Paris on well-being massages, and the other at HP Formation in Geneva in Switzerland, on therapeutic massages. Since 2011, I have been a certified Practitioner in Massages of the World and I have been practicing, in my office, at home, or in company, various relaxing massages, Chinese, Ayurvedic, personalized, or foot reflexology.

Thanks to my knowledge of anatomy and human physiology, my facility to find body tensions and my experience, the massages that I propose participate in the prevention of diseases and help maintain good health for as long as possible.
